elbchaussee
I am doing the layout of a photo journal, size A4, portrait. Sometimes I am using one picture for two pages (= size A3). In Indesign I then see that the dpi size is too small, so I enlarge/push/upscale the photo in Photoshop - just putting the required width (42,6 cm) in the corresponding field (screenshots attached; with Adobe I am using the German versions). In Affinity Publisher 2 (2.1.1.) the actual dpi size is indicated in the top left corner (238 dpi) (screenshot attached). My question: How do I upscale the picture in Affinity Publilsher 2? Or do I have to use Affinity Photo 2? Thanks in advance for your help.
thomaso
In APub you can upscale a linked image in APub's Photo Persona: Select the Image layer (not its parent Picture Frame) > Click the "Edit Image" button > choose "Resize Document". If the image is embedded you either make it linked first – or, more cumbersome, upsize it in APub with the MoveTool + rasterize it to get it resampled upscaled, then downsize it as needed, if wanted you can return it to an image layer. True, … whereas the OP's workflow comparison with ID + PS appears to indicate that it is wanted to edit the original linked file. Nevertheless, a file copy of the image may be used for the ID / APub layout (even regardless of a different or same file name). walt.farrell 1 Quote macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1
