agusugian
Is it supposed to do this? The stroke and fill was on a same shape on the original design. This is the original design As you can see the fill and stroke is on the same shape. And this is when I export it to eps The stroke and fill is sperated. Is it just how Designer open eps file or the problem is in the export??

agusugian
Have you open it in Ai or other program?
Oufti
Yes, it is the same when opening any of my old EPS's in Inkscape: stroke and fill are two distinct objects (curves), grouped together. For testing, I have also created in Inkscape and AffDesign a red rectangle with a black stroke. When exported or saved as in EPS and opened in AD or Inkscape, it is always the same: everything is converted to curves — even if the code itself varies, AD being the simplest to read. N.B. When exported in PDF from Inkscape or AffDesign, the rectangle remains a single object, a rectangle with stroke and fill properties. agusugian
AI export it perfectly. I prefer the AI way, is there a way for AD to do it the same as AI at least for exporting as I need it for a client. Edit : I mean AI import it perfectly from AD. I try to export it from AI to AD and AD seperate the stroke and fill again. i think it is how AD work.

I can confirm this is simply a difference in the EPS importer that Affinity uses (and other apps, such as Inkscape mentioned above), compared to Illustrator. Unfortunately there's no option to change the import behaviour of EPS files in Affinity at this time, though I will move this thread to the Feedback section of our forums for our devs to see and consider implementing an improved EPS parser that would not separate said objects. I hope this clears things up! agusugian

Thank you. I hope to see it being improved as it is a much needed feature for professional workflow.
