Lab color value with decimals place

How is possible to read a lab color with at least 2 decimals place?

It isn't values are shown rounded. - The same seems to apply (or applied, don't know if it has been changed in the meantime over 4 years now) to PS according to this older PS 2019 version reading ...

Though via PS scripting one can get pretty much more as an output read than only two decimal places ...

It's a long time... 😏

You can add a feature request, as far as there isn't already one for this ...

... though I doubt that it will speed up things time wise here, as there are more urgent things to fix and do.

Displaying decimals in colour value fields is not just adding a feature to the interface but appears to affect the way how Affinity handles / calculates colours generally. It is a known issue, discussed and logged/tagged a few times since V1 that different interface items may report differing values for identical object colours, here is a recent discussion for instance:

macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1

As Affinity uses the LittleCMS color engine as it's underlaying CMS here, you can read more about ICC profile conversion handlings, the general ICC Floating Point Encoding Range, floating point precision & representation, clipping color values to be inside realizable gamuts etc. here ...
