srg
It happens occasionally and usually after saving and reopening solves the problem. Actually I saved and reopened this file and there was a transparent band on the side. Had to apply another backdrop and mask it. Dan C
Hi @srg, Sorry to see you're having trouble! Can you please open Affinity and navigate to Affinity Photo 2 > Settings > Performance and provide a screenshot of your settings here for me? Does this occur with only the specific file shown in your recording, or multiple documents? If only this file, are you able to attach a copy of this here for me also? Many thanks in advance

Many thanks in advance I thought I posted this already but do not see it so I post again. It happens occasionally with different files. It seems always with masks but I am not positive about that. Dan C
Thanks for confirming that for me and the screenshots provided. If you disable 'Hardware Acceleration' and change the 'Display' option to OpenGL - then restart the app and try creating your mask once again. Does this resolve the rendering issue for you please?
