Request: Ability to lock panels in place or at least make them stickier

Recommended Posts

On Affinity Designer 2.1 on Mac, if a Panel (like the Layers Studio) is in a panel group, it takes a deliberate action to undock it so it's a floating window.  However if a panel is on it's own and not in a group, then it undocks with any click at all, including trying to resize the height of the panel, which is annoying.  It'd be nice to lock the panel in place so its not possible to undock without unlocking it, or at least make it "stickier" so it stays docked.

See attached video that tries to show how much easier it is to undock the Layers panel if it's on it's own vs being in a group. In the video all it took to undock the layers panel at the end was simply clicking on it.

thanks

I don't find that happening on Windows. My grouped panels only undock when I specifically drag their header.

What macOS version do you use, and are you using a mouse, or a stylus, to interact with the panels?
