Gingertheorangecat Posted July 16, 2023 Share Posted July 16, 2023 I'm using a 2017 MacBook Pro with an Intel i7 chip running Ventura 13.4.1 The keyboard shortcut for the Export function works correctly only part of the time. More often than not, the shortcut brings up the Save As function rather than Export. Selecting Export from the drop down menu works correctly every time. The suite of selection tools does not work correctly. The Selection Brush tool is sometimes not responsive to either the keyboard shortcut or to clicking on the icon. In those instances the tool does not activate or appear. Other times the tool activates and will make a selection that allows the edit to be made. However, it is not possible to turn off the marching ants except by deleting the selection. Pressing Return, H, or selecting another tool does not turn off the selection. in essence, I cannot make a useable selection. The Flood Select tool responds in the same manner as the Selection Brush but the other selection tools do not activate at all. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

IAmKale Posted September 25, 2023 Share Posted September 25, 2023 Hey all, I just wanted to chime in that I've suffered from the broken Export keyboard shortcut as well. I've attached a video of it not working. To help, here's my current setup: MacBook Pro M1 Pro macOS 13.5.2 Affinity Photo 2.2.0 I'm almost certain the shortcut worked fine when 2.0 launched. It was a subsequent release that broke the shortcut, and before updating to 2.2.0 tonight I know the shortcut was broken with 2.1.x too. I also removed a couple of apps on my machine that had anything to do with custom global shortcuts, just to rule out something interfering. Despite this the Export keyboard shortcut refused to be recognized. I was definitely able to use the shortcut with these same apps in their same configuration with 2.0, so I doubt anything else on my machine is to blame. Hope this all helps.
