Aftermarket Macros for Designer/Publisher

Recommended Posts

Please advise if this NOT the appropriate forum for my question.
Years ago, Visual Basic programmers founded businesses solely on providing CorelDraw customers with useful macros.  Unfortunately, these tool did not work for later Corel (and Illustrator) versions, and nearly all threw in the towel, abandoning paid customers.
Does anyone know of a source for Affinity Designer (and Publisher) macros?
I understand that Serif has built-in macro capability, but I am looking for complex macros, for instance, very fine rotation of object(s) and node manipulation.
I purchased earlier versions of Serif products, and have upgraded because of the reliability.
Would really like to "wean" myself from over 15 years of dedication to Corel, but (correct me if I'm wrong) Designer's macros are just recording repetitive actions/keystrokes, without programming capability.

Thanks,
..dj

Designer does not have any macro capability. Photo does have macros but they  are largely recording keystrokes and clicks that you would make on a menu entry. Macros can also record formulae and I find them especially useful in recording effects from Filter > Distrort > Equations.

I have created a fair number of macros,  many available in these foruums, but so far, none that I would consider worth selling.

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums, Don.

You can find a number of macros in, or linked from, the Resources section of the forums. But as you noted, they are largely keystroke recording, except they do have some capability for on-the-fly modification of settings.

You can find more for sale by doing a web search for affinity photo macros though they'll be mixed-in with other results.

A more complex/complete Scripting capability is supposedly in the works, but we don't know when it will arrive or exactly what it will provide.
