josephhansen Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 In Affinity Photo v1, there's no way to set randomization parameters per stroke (i.e., use a different luminosity per stroke). This is a huge inconvenience and the only thing that's stopped me from being able to move over from Photoshop entirely. I've been trying to find information about if V2 fixes/adds this, but I haven't been able to get a concrete answer, and I'd like to know before I buy it (if it doesn't have this, it's not worth buying for me.) Thanks! Quote

Thanks! It does not have this. However there is scripting support coming sometime. I would suggest keeping an eye on the Affinity suite to see when this will happen. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
josephhansen Posted June 21, 2023 Author Posted June 21, 2023 That's sad to hear- and very surprising, it's an indispensable feature for painters that every other painting software I've ever used has. It's also sad to hear that this will probably end up being a feature I'll have to script myself; there's already a long list of randomization options, surely it couldn't be so difficult to add a "Stroke" option to this drop-down. Well, I guess I'll have to hold out for V3 Quote
