Mainecoon364 Posted June 17, 2023 Posted June 17, 2023 I want to delete the left part of the image. But substract command deletes all the image. Why? How can I fix It? Affinity Designer - Substract Does Not Work.MP4 Quote
v_kyr Posted June 18, 2023 Posted June 18, 2023 Look carefully at your Layers panel and you will know! You are trying to substract from an embedded Image file (which probably [the Image] is some bitmap/pixel data here like JPG/PNG). But those geometric add/subtract/etc. routines do only work/operate on shapes and vectors. So for plain vectors you either place a vector shape representation of the bat, as a layer into that document and try to reperform what you did above ... ... or in case of bitmap/pixel data and pixel layers, you switch over to the Pixel Persona and cover that left side of the bat with a "white filled" rectangle, so only the right half of the pixel drawing remains red visiable. All in all you have to make yourself here clear what the difference between vectors- and shapes vs pixel/bitmap data is and also how to overall handle embedded/placed files in documents. walt.farrell 1 Quote ☛ Affinity Designer 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Photo 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Publisher 1.10.8 ◆ OSX El Capitan ☛ Affinity V2.3 apps ◆ MacOS Sonoma 14.2 ◆ iPad OS 17.2
Mainecoon364 Posted June 18, 2023 Author Posted June 18, 2023 I missed that point. Thank you very much for the answer. Quote
