Hi I have  Open Sans installed (a Google font) that has 15 TTF faces they are correctly shown in all the other software I have  but Publisher shows them as below... I have six "regular"  and three "italic"    rather than showing 9 fonts correctly. I can supply the font package to Affinity if this would help.  I am on Windows 11 (upgraded from Win10... this is URGENT as I have a client that wants me to use the Open Sans font.

What have you found?  it makes no sense to me.

The link takes you to a list of results relating to a search for posts about variable fonts.

To cut a long story short, the Affinity apps don’t currently support variable fonts. You need to uninstall the variable version(s) and replace them with the fonts which you’ll find in the ‘static’ folder that will have been created when you unzipped the download.

You are using the wrong versions of open sans aka variable versions which aren't supported in the affinities.
Here are mine:

I think Serif wants us to be only creative in finding workarounds to use their tools.

I have an affinity with Jumping through hoops and Finding work-a-roundabouts, I'm getting dizzy from all that spinning before my eyes.
