Error with the master pages

Recommended Posts

When elements are inserted into master pages, they are not displayed in the created pages connected to the master page.

I have attached a test file. Here it is even more curious. On the 1st page, the elements are displayed. On the 2nd page, which was newly created, then no longer.

It can't be that the pages have a different display than the connected master page.

When I try your file using my iPad, I can add a rectangle on the Master Page and it appears on both Page 1 and Page 2.

Can you provide more information about which elements you added that did not appear, when you tried it?

The circles at "Format" and under "Reached" no longer appear. I used the desktop version for Mac.

Thanks for the added info. I'm not sure what's going on there, but I see the same behavior when I add a new page with that Master on Windows (now that I'm back at my PC).

The circles have become unlinked in the Master (etc) as indicated by the dotted green lines in the Layers panel next to their layers and by hovering over the layer to show the pop-up

Have you ever used Edit Detached/Linked in this document?

To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

@carl123

Thank you for pointing this out. I have not actively used this function. Possibly by mistake? Where can I find the setting to look?
