icon on Desk not showing (generic ikon only)

Trying out Photo V2. Last few days the export  (jpeg or PNG) is not showing the IKON as an image. I'm running MacOS 12.6.5 The Preferences are checked for 'Save Thumbnail' Any ideas if tere is another pref I'm missing? Thanx for help-

Open a Finder folder window & from the View menu choose Show View Options or use the CMD+J shortcut. In the window that opens, make sure "Show Icon preview" is checked.

Note that this can be set independently for different folders, so just setting it for one folder will not guarantee it will be set for all of them.

Hit the Use as Defaults button. Although then you can still have the Default overridden by individual folders' preferences.

Note that this only applies to folders that have not already been opened with the Show icon preview option enabled, so it is not a global default, so to speak.
