Dotted line only appears correct when line alignment is set to middle (and not inside or outside)

Recommended Posts

Could not figure out why dotted line settings were having no effect.

Metal, OpenGL (Basic), Software

  • Dotted line only appears when line alignment is set middle
  • Line are incorrect (sort of dented rather than dotted) when line alignment is set to inside or outside

OpenGL

  • Dotted line only appears when line alignment is set middle
  • Line is solid when line alignment is set to inside or outside
  • (shown below)

Also

  • dotted lines disappear when selecting butt caps
  • bored with reporting all these issues at this point
  • etc.

Setup

  • Designer 2.1.0
  • macOS 12.6.6

Hi @matt,

It very much depends on the settings you use for your dashed lines...

Affinity Designer 2.4.2 | Affinity Photo 2.4.2 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.2
Affinity Designer  Beta 2.5.0 (2415) | Affinity Photo Beta 2.5.0 (2415) | Affinity Publisher Beta 2.5.0 (2415)

Affinity Designer 1.7.3 | Affinity Photo 1.7.3 | Affinity Publisher 1.10.8
MacBook Pro 16GB, macOS Monterey 12.7.4, Magic Mouse
