MarkWBD Posted June 1, 2023 Posted June 1, 2023 I'm struggling creating a custom brush. I'm missing something but I can't work out what. See the attached image. I've created a shape (circled in red) which might be described as a 'square comma'. I want to use this as the basis for creating a line with 'hanging tails'. I can import it as a .PNG and create a brush but I only get the tails. The image shows the brush settings and an output line. I can clearly see the 'square comma' in the brush settings but this does not seem to be reflected in the line. (Scratches head). I've persisted with this for a couple of hours with no joy. Any suggestions. Quote
lepr Posted June 2, 2023 Posted June 2, 2023 The white regions of the brush image are defining where colour will be applied. Invert the brush image so the 'square comma' is white on black background then make a brush with it. Callum 1 Quote
Gnobelix Posted June 2, 2023 Posted June 2, 2023 Hello @MarkWBD export your created graphic as a PNG file with a transparent background. Create a new identity brush and in the Properties panel set the desired parameters.
