Lock children and picture frame sizing becomes wildly inaccurate

Recommended Posts

Got some crazy activity going on with picture frames in Affinity Publisher 2. When I have pictures in picture frames the dimensions when using the move tool to resize etc works fine until I lock children. When this is done the box scaling goes crazy, shrinking smaller than should be when shrinking, expanding larger than should be when stretched, and not settling until released and reselected. Unlocking children returns behaviour to OK. Thought it may be high res screen issues, but acts the same on an HD and changed resolutions. Note the scale is actually wrong in the transform panel too.

File in video was newly created after having this happen all over an 80 page doc… thought maybe memory, but no this is just one page one pic.

Hi @Like, would like more if…,

Thanks for your report!

I can confirm that I have been able to replicate this issue here and therefore have logged it as a bug with our development team to be resolved.

I hope this helps :)

Please note -

I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time.

Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible.

Many thanks!

The issue "Bounding Box shows incorrectly on a resized picture frame when using 'Lock Children'" (REF: AF-1757) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.4.0.2252".
This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions.
If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Serif Info Bot to notify us.
