Hi @NeoSuppor and welcome to the forums,

Was everything shown in your screen recording created directly in Publisher (and/or Designer) or are we seeing a file you've placed into Publisher from another Application?

Are you able to upload your Publisher file and any placed files if relevant so we can take a look or even just a single page where the issue is happening.

If you'd prefer not to upload your document directly to the forum you can request a private Dropbox link to upload you files to by replying to this post so the team at Serif can take a look.

Hi @NeoSuppor,

Could you also upload the pdf file so I can see what you're copying from and also to test copying and pasting betwen the two files...

Hi @NeoSuppor,

Welcome to the Affinity Forums :)

I can see that the text in your provided Publisher document is currently set to 1pt in size, hence you have to zoom far in to see this text.

We have not had reports previously of text changing size after saving and reopening a file, but it's certainly possible the text was imported at the incorrect size from the PDF file you opened/copy & pasted from.

Therefore as above, in order to further investigate this issue we're going to need a copy of your PDF document that you are importing into the app - can you please attach a copy of this here for me?

Many thanks in advance!

Hi @NeoSuppor,

Many thanks for the pdf file. We seem to have a different page in as much as the content in your Publisher document differs from the content in the pdf but the page is shown in your screen recording. I'm not initially seeing any issues copying from the pdf file to your Publisher document then saving and reopening the Publisher file.

Could you perhaps make a screen recording showing us your copy and paste process between the two documents demonstrating how and when the text becomes tiny. Your original video shows you opening the Publisher file with the tiny text in place but it would be helpful to undertand more about the process you are using so we can see at what point the issue you're experiencing happens and then try to replicate it.

I'm also curious as to why the text in your Publisher document is all upside down?

Many thanks for providing that file for me!

I can confirm that I have been able to replicate this issue in Affinity Publisher V1 - after importing the PDF document, saving the .afpub file, closing and reopening the document, the text size is set at 1pt incorrectly.

This does not occur within Affinity Publisher V2, the font size is correctly retained after importing, saving, closing and reopening the document.

I also note that the text is imported with a 180° rotation unexpectedly, so I will be logging both of these issues with our development team now.

In the meantime, please find a copy of your PDF file resaved, and the .afpub file after it has been imported into Publisher V1 - where it now retains the text size when closing and reopening the document.

I hope this helps :)
