Showing Alien Language on Thai PDF

Hello, how to fix this? It should show all info in Thai but it's alien language. Already update to 2.1.0. The file is .pdf. Thanks in advance

Hi @Arysa,

I know we do have some open issues logged with the Developers about Thai text in Affinity, so its possible you are running into one of those.  Could you attach the afdesign or upload it to our Dropbox here and I'll take a look at what the problem is

Thanks for the files.

This is one of the known issues we have when working with Thai text and certain fonts.  I'll update that report with a link back to this thread.

From looking into this further, I did find this thread which mentions some Thai font names that do work well with Affinity, so it might be worth installing one of the mentioned fonts on that thread and you should get better results

Yes, we do have that problem on Affinity. Please follow the link to see Thai Google font https://fonts.google.com/?subset=thai&noto.script=Thai If you'd like to install Thai font, I'd like to recommend installing Sarabun which is the most popular font for the Thai official documents.

 

Also, I'd like to know if it's possible to show sample typeface like below. Would be great if you consider having this for the next update. Much more convenient for using foreign languages. Thanks
