Text vertical alignment changes from Master to applied pages

Recommended Posts

Can you share a .afpub document that demonstrates this? It will be easier to investigate if we can see the document settings in detail.

Hi, I have good news and bad news. If I open your document in 1.10.6 pages 1 and 2 both render correctly for me. I see the problem you are reporting but if I open it in 2.0.4 the alignment is correct. So you could avoid the issue but upgrading to v2 if that's an option for you.

But I don't think it should be hard to work around. Go to master Frente and click in the problem frame. Change the vertical position to bottom and then back to centre. Now the pages based on Frente will be correct. If you add more pages based on Frente you'll have to do this again, but it does work.

FYI there are some minor issues with the way the master pages have been set up - there are duplicate frames stacked on top of each other. Look at the Layers panel for masters Frente and Verso and expand every group to see what's in them. I'm not sure what value Master A is adding, it has the same four border frames as Frente and Verso but they're not being used.

Good luck!

Hey, thanks!

I fixed the messy layers - all that garbage was legacy from other versions that didnt get cleaned up. Figure I straight up assumed it'd be a bug instead of throughly clearing the file.

I think this will fix it. I'll let you know if the drama persists.

Thanks!!
