I had designed some elements in Designer the other day and decided I wanted to move things over to Publisher for print layout purposes. I simply copy and pasted the layers from Designer which included a 70% transparent color layer over a bitmap image. Stangely the colors in Publisher appear much more faded vs the vibrant, bright color in Designer. Any idea what might cause this? I've attaced a screenshot of the side by side images with Publisher on the left, Designer on the right.

Interestingly when I import an exported image from Designer to Publisher the color is much more vibrant (see image, imported one is on the right, copy and pasted on the left) but then I can't edit it like I need to so this is not the greatest solution.

Are you sure the documents are using the same color format and color profile?

Update, apparently this is not a cross platform issue. I just ccopied and pasted the same thing into a new Designer document and the color is changing there too. I'm really at a loss as to why this is happening... Any help still appreciated.

I just checked and yes the color profile is the same. Changing it doesn't appear to change the image on screen anyhow.

Hi @MichaelDaens,

Could you provide us with a sample .afdesign and .afpub file where you're encountering this colour shift difference so we can investigate further? If it's not something you wish to share publicly I can provide a private upload link.

Many thanks 🙂
