Hi all,

I'm using Affinity Publisher V2 on a windows machine. I've seen a few behaviours and I've been working around them due to deadlines approaching. But today I had enough.

I have a document that I have been working on for a while. Every time I open it either by dragging the doc, opening through the menu or double clicking in windows explorer, the file is not opening up with the file name I gave it. (see attached image).

The second issue has happened with a few documents at this stage, when I change the text style, No matter which one, it eventually changes back to the previous font.

The other issue was to do with masters, I duplicated masters in a different file, but the title settings, such as font, style, etc, didn't copy, causing half of a document to loose it's format.

Any help is greatly appreciated, specially with the 1st issue.

Thanks

What is the complete file name and extension?

Sorry, I don't understand what you did. Can you provide more details?

.aftemplate 😔 duh!! sorry, I just saved it as afpub. Seems like it worked.

I have a title made, then I duplicate the masters and just move the blocks around. When I applied the masters to several pages and when back to change the font, it never copied the format. So, to fix it, I had to move the title elsewhere, make the desired title, then copy the text back. But even in a few instances, the font didn't change when I went back to the masters,

I hope you can understand

Your extension means it is a Template file which will always open up a copy of the Template and name it Untitiled. I would open it, save it with a descriptive name, and then just work on that saved file. I would also delete that template file, a Template should be mostly blank. It should have the necessary Text Frames, Master Pages, Text Styles, Document colour Swatches, etc. which you want or need for future projects.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Good :)

For the Masters problem: Changing something like the font or font size on a Master won't affect any text that you've already added to a document page. So if that's what you're doing it's expected behavior.
