Why is the performance dropping with each update?
I have a really fast Workstation (RTX 4090, 128gb ram... all maxed out) but working with more than 2-3 Artboards is super slow. Every click takes about half a second. No realtime feeling like in V1. And the annoying pink fadeout-outline makes it feel even slower (Can i deactivate this "feature"?) Same for my Laptop with 64bg, rtx 3080 so its likly not a problem with my PC

I reinstalled the app several times. No change
I deactivated Open CL acceleration. No change

Really sad. Loved it

Hi @Olli O,

I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with performance within Affinity.

Firstly, I'd recommend ensuring that your GPU drivers are fully up to date, directly from the manufacturers website as outdated drivers can cause performance issues within Affinity apps.

Secondly, if your PC has both an iGPU and dGPU, I'd recommend ensuring that Affinity is using only the dGPU through Windows Settings, as outlined here -

Finally, what size are your Artboards in your document, and what tools/workflow are you using when these issues occur?

Many thanks in advance :)

Hi Dan, thx for the reply.

I always have the newest nvidia studiodriver installed loaded via GeforceExperience. Never gamedriver. (Have to use studiodriver because of Cinema4 > Octane)
Of course i have selected the dGpu under settings > performance

Mostly my documents contain 4-8 Artboards with about 2000 x 5000px, some 72dpi Images, Text, Boxes.. nothing crazy, no hardcore Vectorjuice
