Timespider Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 Hi, I've opened this jpeg and copied it without changing anything, then opened a "New From Clipboard " or Ctrl+Shift+Alt+N. With the new file opened the dimensions are wrong in the transform panel & it says it's rotated -90 degrees. This is the new copied file but the original is the same with both saying the width is wider than the height, which by looking at the image that is not the case. I have not adjusted the image in any way, not rotated it or anything. Am I missing something here as to why it opened like this? Quote Motto - STUPID HURTS!
Alfred Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 The position of the rotation paddle (at the right-hand side of the image, rather than the top) seems to confirm that the image is indeed rotated by -90°. Does the JPEG file include Exif data? It looks as though the picture was probably taken with a digital camera, rotated to portrait orientation instead of the usual landscape. Timespider Posted April 2, 2023 Author Posted April 2, 2023 SOLVED Thanks for replying Alfred. Okay now I'm not so stressed, I'm not a photo guy just a quick rough graphics guy. Where or how would I find the Exif data? Now you've enlightened me I have rasterized & trimmed the image & it is now showing the correct dimensions. For anyone who has this issue: Right click the image either on the canvas or in the layers panel & select rasterized & trim & that should correct the image. Quote Motto - STUPID HURTS!
