Flowing text if pages are decorated?

The pages in my newsletter have borders and the title and issue info at the bottom. I made 3 master pages for front, odd, and even pages. The question is how do I flow text, say from an odd page to an even page, and so forth. The examples on YouTube make new text frames, but they are not decorated.

I would use a double spread master page so that you don’t need separate masters for odd and even pages.

And if you use a Facing Page Master Page as Catshill suggests, you can just link the left-side Text Frame to the right-side Text Frame, and that will resolve your text flow issue.

But the first page is different. I get an overflow in page 3. but it will not link to page 4. Sorry to be dense, but this is my first try.

We would need to see what Master Pages are applied, and how you have them set up. Also, automatic linking only applies when you are letting Publisher create the pages for you.

You can manually link existing Text Frames by clicking on the linking triangle (shows as a red circle on your screenshot) then clicking on the Text Frame you want to link to.
