I am exporting a file and though the italics are correctly shown on the program, they're not exported in the pdf. The font used is Amiri, renderization of incompatible properties is selected.

I amnot sure what the problem is given it's the first time I've had this problem.

Which version of Amiri? And where did you get it?

There is an old version of Amiri that has Slanted (not Italic) in some of the names.
I wonder if this could be confusing APub on exporting to PDF.

The newer version from Google Fonts has Italic (not Slanted).

LibreOffice also installs Amiri (and Amiri Quran) and also has Italic (not Slanted).
I have noticed some recurring Windows registry issues with Amiri (showing duplicates) which I think came from updates of LibreOffice.
This could cause issues such as yours.
To fix it, I had my font manager delete the duplicate font entries in the registry, and I un-installed all the fonts, and then made sure no Amiri font files were still in the Fonts directory. Then re-installed the newest fonts. So far it seems to be OK.

So which version of the fonts do you have?
And can you provide a sample document?
