If you need to know, then perhaps you should install using the alternate EXE installer rather than the standard MSIX installer. Both are available from your Affinity Store account if you purchased from Serif. But before installing the EXE version it's best to uninstall the MSIX version to avoid confusion.

so I just had this issue trying to add Affinity apps to ACDSEE as external editors - ACDSEE being the DAM that Affinity apparently doesn't have an option for.

I managed to sort of find the install paths:
C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WindowsApps

But the MSIX installer doesn't add anything to "Program Files" and as a result, ACDSEE cannot use or open them
I'll try the EXE variant instead as suggested and see what happens there.

In that case, ACDSee is apparently deficient (along with some other applications) in not properly supporting Windows Store apps and MSIX-based apps (specifically, Windows App Execution Aliases). You might point that out to them :)

But yes, using the EXE/MSI-based version should resolve it for you.

I agree Walt - and I'll post a note over on their forums about it, but at least we have a solution by reverting to "old school" installers :P
*small shout out to the Dev team for offering the EXE option*
