Are you able to upload the original image before you made any changes to it so we can take a look…

Did the colour literally change after cropping the image in Affinity Photo or did it look darker when initially loaded?

Is the file in question a RAW or JPEG image?

Welcome to the forums :)

From what I can gather from your title, have you applied edits to this image in Apple Photos and then opened this within Affinity Photo to crop and perform further changes?

If so, I can confirm that when importing images from Apple Photos, Affinity will open the 'original' image without any of the edits made in Apple Photos, which could be the cause of the difference you're seeing.

If you wish to apply edits in Apple Photos, I would recommend opening the source image in Affinity Photo first, cropping as required and then exporting this image into your Apple Photos library where you can adjust the colours etc as needed.
