jengrant Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 I am trying to insert an image onto a background, done so now I have two layers, one background and one layer inserted. Now I select it to try to resize it and move it... in this case, a head onto a body. I try to grab the handle of the selected image to resize, or to move it, and this is the menu that pops up. I CANNOT grab the handles to move or resize. I'm currenly using beta version of photo 2 but I couldn't do this in the photo 2 original version either. It is VERY frustrating. I'm using a Macbook Air on Ventura OS. Here are two images, the first one showing the head on the background, the second one showing what happens when I try to grab a handle to resize or to move. Please help... Quote
Ron P. Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 Are you using a mouse or the trackpad? That menu looks like the right-click menu. Could you possibly be accidentally touching the trackpad that produces right-click menu? Quote Affinity Photo 2.5..; Affinity Designer 2.5..; Affinity Publisher 2.5..; Affinity2 Beta versions. jengrant Posted February 27, 2023 Author Posted February 27, 2023 I am using a trackpad and I'm using one finger to try to grab the handles without getting that menu. So not using the right-click. Should I be able to do this? Like I could with Photoshop? Or am I trying something that is not the right way? I am so happy you're trying to help... thank you. Quote

There is a checkbox I always turn off, It is in the Preferences, in the Tools section. And I don't know if this will matter as well. In the Mac OS preferences I have the trackpad set up like this. Only those two items are checked I the Point and Click part.
