affinity publishers crashes, freezes - after upgrade.

Hi @pat fern and welcome to the forums...

Could you provide a little more detail relating to the crashes and freezing you are experiencing with Affinity Publisher and let us know whether this is happening on Mac or Windows and also which version of the OS you are running.

If you could also let us know at what point Publisher is crashing and/or freezing that would be reallyhelpful, is it when simply launching the app or when you try to open a particular file? If the latter does it happen with all files.

Are you getting any error messages when Publisher crashes and are you able to upload a crash report?

The more information you can provide the better placed we will be to help you resolve the issue.

Publisher 2 has crashed about 6 times or more today. If I saved and reported the crash reports I would never get any work done.  It has crashed while exporting a book. It has crashed while editing a book. It has crashed from the resource manager relinking files, it has crashed opening a chapter in a book. It has crashed trying to edit a photo.  Sometimes it hangs sometimes it dies. It does it just soooo often!

Hi Miriam,

It may be worth trying to disable Metal Compute in the apps performance preferences to see if this solves your issue? If not we will likely need a crash report to investigate this further. You could always try our latest beta builds found below to see if they give better performance at all.

Hello again all versions that are crashing all the time. Affinity photos not saving for "unkown reasons ". crashing all the time. Please helpe me ! I'm on MacOs - IMac  Sonoma  14.1.1. I've donne all up grades and it gets worse.
