I've been able to replicate the difference reported when using Smooth over Sharp nodes in this file and I've logged it with our developers - I hope this helps!

The issue "Add provides incorrect results when using Smooth nodes, works as expected with Sharp nodes" (REF: AFD-6441) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.1.0.1769".
This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
