Selecting and moving the handles at the same time would be very nice and it opens up a whole new world, coming from Inkscape and a little bit from Illustrator I didn't think they can do that too, I don't know how difficult it would be to implement this feature, but it would be really useful.
example:

Move them simultaneously in one direction
move internally or externally of themselves
in line with each other.

I don't think Affinity Designer has this feature and it could be something exclusive.

your method seems to be great if you create a path with a pen where it's not perfectly horizontal or vertical, so to take advantage of (transform mode) you have to slightly tilt the stroke so that it's not perfectly straight vertically or horizontally.

in other cases it seems impractical, it works yes but only in certain circumstances.

if instead the handles (the tip of the handle) are selected, the result would be exactly perfect and decidedly more intuitive.

Handles in my opinion can offer much more!

thank you so much for your video tutorial.👍
