Hi, without more details it will be hard to understand this. What is wrong with this screenshot? Is there supposed to be text on that blue box or maybe in the white area on the right page?

Could you show the Layers panel and select the layers there? Is there text but it's just unfilled or is there no text layer at all?

Hello, thanks for the quick response. I have the following problem: when I enter the graphic text in the image on the left (blue background) it does not appear in the document, but is displayed in the layer mask

That looks right. It's an artistic text object with a blue background fill and white text fill so I don't know why the text is invisible. Could you copy that blue box to a new document, save it, and upload that document here for review?

Thanks

Here's a workaround to get you back to work. Apply any of your paragraph styles to the blue box (it doesn't matter which one) and then apply the paragraph No Style to remove it. Your text will appear although it won't be formatted correctly. Now you can restyle the text back to the way you want it.

Here's a simpler test document to help figure out the issue. It has two M characters side by side, I typed the one on the left and the one on the right is from your document but is invisible.

M.afpub
The only formatting difference between them is that your M is formatted with these OpenType attributes: Final Forms: Off; Initial Forms: Off; Isolated Forms: Off; Medial Forms: Off;

Affinity doesn't seem able to deal with these - applying No Style (char and para) will not clear them which is why the workaround I gave you was to apply a paragraph style that didn't include them.

Can you open your document in Publisher again, select the blue box, and share a screenshot of the Typography panel? This is what I'm seeing but I don't have your font. I wonder if you are seeing the OpenType attributes and could just turn them off.

Cheers

@MikeTO Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I was also to get around the issue by selecting the Blue box and using Revert Defaults.

@Heilix Blechle So that I can look into this further, is it possible to send me a copy of the IDML file? I can send a Dropbox link if needed.
