Enjoying the new Affinity Suite 2.0.

One thing that is not working or not working properly is: restoring the active window.

HOWTO: Restore Window / Document Inactivity

1. Work on a document in any Affinity 2.0 software.

2. Then collapse the work window.

3. On a Mac, click on the same program you were just using.

4. You will notice your document is not being restored (i.e. not automatically popping up). You must go "Window" and then scroll all the way to the bottom to select the document you were just working on, only then it will reappear.

Maybe an option already exists?

Hi @chahuajia and welcome to the forums. This is a known bug with v2. You can re-open a minimized document by clicking the document icon in the dock but clicking the app icon won't do anything. Serif has acknowledged the issue so hopefully it will be fixed in the near future.

Cheers

Come on Affinity!

App window restoration on a mac is a core component of MacOS so why don't Affinity apps restore windows by clicking the app icon in the dock like ALL OTHER Mac apps do?

This has been a long standing issue that should have been fixed long ago but Affinity doesn't seem to think it's important enough to fix.

This issue was reported in another thread back in January. It's almost June and there's still not a fix???

This is the only icon in my dock which cannot restore a window!!!

The issue "Application (running) doesn't maximize when we click the icon on the dock" (REF: AFP-4836) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.2.0.1857".
This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions.
If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Serif Info Bot to notify us.
