I am using the iPad version of Affinity Designer 2 and I am having trouble with the kana parts being displayed as [] like shapes. Currently, there are only 2 Japanese fonts available and all the other fonts are displayed as a photo (yellow ◎).

↓↓ "?VDL-LogoMaru-pop"

The first "?" is attached and it is displayed in red characters. (I added about 10 Japanese fonts to creative cloud and they are displayed in the font list, but the same result occurs even if I select the font >_<)

Please let me know if you know the solution.

You are missing the chosen font. I don't know how to add fonts to the iPad someone else may chime in.

Those squares are from the fallback font the OS will use when confronted with a missing font. The squares are there to show that the font doesn't have the glyph(s).

Choose a different font which has the kana glyphs.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

VDL-LogoMaru-pop is an Adobe typeface, only available via a Creative Cloud subscription.

How did you add the fonts?
