PaulieT Posted February 7, 2023 Posted February 7, 2023 Hi, I'm new to Affinity Photo and I really love the way it works. I have a suggestion to slightly improve the software. When opening an image file in Affinity photo a small message appears in the upper right corner of the Main Screen. It might be better to also show a progress bar or wheel, so we know that something is actually happening and how close to the end the progress is approaching. Thanks, Paul Quote
Pšenda Posted February 8, 2023 Posted February 8, 2023 This has been requested repeatedly and a very long time ago (2014) and unfortunately still nothing.https://www.google.com/search?q=Progress+Indicator+site:https://forum.affinity.serif.com The truth is that some operations take an incredibly long time in Affinity, and so an indication "that something is happening" would be necessary. By the way, even the completely standard change of the mouse pointer to an hourglass/spinning wheel should be an absolute staple of any normal application, which unfortunately Affinity doesn't respect 😞 Quote Affinity Store (MSI/EXE): Affinity Suite (ADe, APh, APu) 2.5.7.2948 (Retail) Dell OptiPlex 7060, i5-8500 3.00 GHz, 16 GB, Intel UHD Graphics 630, Dell P2417H 1920 x 1080, Windows 11 Pro, Version 24H2, Build 26100.2605.
