kaikaisen Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 Hi When I try to "find text" - either via CMD+F or via menu bar, the app crashes instantly. Reproducable on any type of document. Running version 2.0.3 on an intel mac (2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5) from 2020. Can we reproduce on other machines as well? Quote
MikeTO Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 Hi @kaikaisen and welcome to the forum. There have been a few other reports of this. Are you running Grammarly by any chance? Two other customers solved their problem by disabling it since it wasn't compatible with Affinity. kaikaisen Posted February 1, 2023 Author Posted February 1, 2023 Grammarly is on the machine indeed. I was not aware these two can interfere on that level, as grammarly is currently not making a match with publisher. Deacitavted and tested. Indeed it is grammarly! Thanks for the quick response! Staff Patrick Connor Posted March 10, 2023 Staff Posted March 10, 2023 @kaikaisen We could replicate this in February, but can no longer replicate this problem. Perhaps a Grammarly update has addressed this. Could you please retry it for us? Staff Affinity Info Bot Posted March 15, 2023 Staff Posted March 15, 2023 The issue "Grammarly for Desktop causes Publisher to crash when accessing the Find and Replace Panel" (REF: AFB-7131) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.1.0.1728". This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release. Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions. If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Serif Info Bot to notify us. Quote
Staff Patrick Connor Posted March 15, 2023 Staff Posted March 15, 2023 @kaikaisen We cannot replicate this with the next available beta. Hopefully it will be the same for you.
