Hi -

I am working my way through the tutorial videos - so far they are great very easy to follow.

I am having trouble though grouping the 2 blood images together into a compound, as soon as I try to group them using the alt key as described, my curve disappears and my tear becomes distorted?  I have worked through this from the beginning 3 times and it is the same each time, I can't quite figure out where I have gone wrong?

I don't have any issues grouping the shapes with out using the alt key nut in order to create the compound the tutorial says I need to do so.

Could any one help?

Many thanks

Thank you :)

I have taken 2 screen shots one of the document before I try the action and then one from after I complete the action.  In the after in the layer list you can see the 2 layers curve and tear but the curve has dissapeared.

Hello vwsoflo,

Thanks for the file. Do the following:

Select the problematic curve layer in the Layers panel, change the boolean operation icon in the layer to Add (click on the icon in the layer to change the type of operation). Then change to the Node Tool, select all nodes of the curve dragging a marquee selection around them, and click on the Smooth button in the Convert section in the context toolbar. This should correct the shape issues.

Let me know if you still have trouble.
