TheDoc
I created an affinity publisher cookbook. Each recipe is on a different page. Each page is a differnt section. Unfotunately I di dnot write the cookbook in alphabetical order. Now I would like to alphabetize the cookb ook. Any ideas other than brute moving of pages. (There are 300 pages in the cookbook. MikeTO
The big question is whether the text frames on each page are linked from page to page into a single story or whether each page is a separate story. If each page is separate, your best bet is to drag the pages manually in the Pages panel - there is no workaround for that. If it's all one story, reordering the pages in the Pages panel is a bad idea because then page 1 might be linked to page 17 to page 3 to page 89, etc. You'd need to reorder the recipes within the story. I do this all the time with my own book project, I'm always changing the order of my subtopics. I have to do this manually, while most of my images are inline others are not because they span columns. There's no better solution for doing this in Publisher. If it's all one story you could copy all the text into Microsoft Word. Change the headings to be numbered. Make all the body text paragraphs that follow the heading numbered or bulleted as well but a nested list. Then you'd be able to sort all the numbered headings alphabetically and copy the text back to Publisher. Publisher doesn't have an equivalent sort feature.
