NotMyFault Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 The input control is basically useless to get fine-level control over z-axis. Emulating a sphere / elevation does not make much sense, the area to provide input is limited to 128 pixels in diameter. For useful control, you need to be able to have a minimum resolution of 100-255 steps (distinctive values). Unfortunately the current implementation makes it almost impossible to enter z-values below 50. Instead of the current "elevation" formula, it would make much more sense to use simply the linear distance from centre, to allow finer steps. The control needs to be enlarged to at least 512px radius (to get 256 steps from centre to edge). Using grey levels of 66 and 86-69 makes this control almost invisible vs. background colours. loukash 1 Quote Mac mini M1 A2348 | MBP M3 Windows 11 - AMD Ryzen 9 5900x - 32 GB RAM - Nvidia GTX 1080 LG34WK950U-W, calibrated to DCI-P3 with LG Calibration Studio / Spider 5 | Dell 27“ 4K iPad Air Gen 5 (2022) A2589 Special interest into procedural texture filter, edit alpha channel, RGB/16 and RGB/32 color formats, stacking, finding root causes for misbehaving files, finding creative solutions for unsolvable tasks, finding bugs in Apps.
