Correcting washed out telephoto landscape image

Recommended Posts

Hi,

what is your intention to optimize, how do you define “good”?

  • sharpness
  • contrast / HDR look
  • colors (saturation)
  • resolution/details
  • looking natural or “idealistic”

can you provide

  1. an unedited RAW file
  2. a matching example of the look you intend?

I would suggest haze removal filter (destructive) instead of clarity.

but the jpeg image with compression / 8-bit depth leads to banding in the sky. This can be avoided by using RAW.51998AD7-8CDF-44C6-A2BA-88655CF53509.thumb.png.bdcecebca8b5903ead64c1f15771f52a.png
