wavelet sharpen

Recommended Posts

Is there some way (including via add-on) to use wavelet sharpening ?

(there is a very efficient add-on in Aftershot 3) ...is is covered in some way by "high pass filter" ?

I find the wavelet sharpening (there are also smoothing filters) less aggressive than the "unshap mask"

yes, it is available in open source (and as a free plug-in in Corel aftershot 3 , but I would prefer to do all the processing in one software,
in particular, aftershot does not have a good softprint for cmyk profiles ..

G'MIC is available as a plugin (on Windows, not Mac) which works in Affinity Photo.

thks, this would be great!
I have tried (I have the trial version of affinity photo 2 ) , and followed the instructions for Photoshop plugins, but it does not seem to find it
(I put the files in the ad-hoc directory, and authorized unknown plugins )

maybe due to the trial version?

best,

No. The trial version has full functionality. Unzip the plugin file you downloaded. Put the .8bf file and the gmic directory into the Photo 2 directory shown in Preferences, Photoshop Plugins, Restart Photo 2. Authorize unknown plugins, and you should have it available in the Filters pulldown.
