wanna6pack Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 Im new to photo processing, so if their is a solution, if you could keep it simple for me that would be great. I have severe halos around the bright star in the attached astro photo. I assume it may have been caused due to the filter I was using with my ccd camera. Is their a way to remove it. Any help would be greatly appreciated Quote
NotMyFault Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 Any chance you can provide a RAW file ? The jpeg does not offer enough details for such delicate work. Stepaan Posted December 13, 2022 Posted December 13, 2022 Filters -> Haze Removal: Distance, Strength: max, Exposure Correction: min. I believe it's a good starting point for the other techniques above. Multiple filter runs don't help. Quote
Stepaan Posted December 13, 2022 Posted December 13, 2022 The problem is, apart from the haze, there are some rays too, which are not considered as a haze 😕 Quote
Lisbon Posted December 13, 2022 Posted December 13, 2022 A used a selective colour adjustment and a low flow brush (3%) to mask the adjustment. Stepaan 1 Quote
