Scottda
Hi, wanted to merge a number of bracketed photos on an iPad (taken with my DJI drone). After a bit of research online it was clear that Affiniti photo was a good tool to use. Downloaded the trial of Affiniti photo 2 but cant see how to merge a HDR photo. All instructions state to start affiniti and then click on the plus in the top left and create a new HDR photo. But I don’t get the plus in the top right? what may i be doing wrong? thanks
StudioJason
Should be at opening screen….the one that displays LiveDocs on it. ‘Have to Press/Hold on the New category.

ednsb
I’m trying to understand HDR merge. your documentation doesn’t explain it or even mention it. I am assuming (boy that will get me in trouble) that I can take a series of bracketed images offset by a few degrees to create a HDR pano? If not can Affinity Photo do that? Scottda
Hi @ednsb I was using HDR merge to merge three different exposure photos taken at the same time to create a single hdr photo. I was not doing a pano shot. Sorry. Thanks.

Perhaps someone can add further clarification or correction however I think you are describing two very different functions. I’ve never tried Panorama with bracketed images so I’m guessing here, but the following workflow should work fine. Bracket each segment and select the bracketed segments to use as an HDR merge, then use the results of each merge to create your panorama. 🙂 Quote M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen). ednsb
Photoshop has a feature called HDR merge which takes all the bracketed shots (1 set of bracketed shots, then another slightly to the right, etc) so if I had a 5 panel with each panel made of 3 bracketed shots I would put all 15 shots in Photoshop , select them all, select HDR merge and ir would creat an HDR pano. Since Affinity Photo already has an HDR choice and a HDR merge I wondered if it can do the same thing.
