Locked Layer - Can't grab object

Why can't I grab an object in AD? I just get/see the bounding box but I can grab anything else on the canvas. I copy pasted this item from a psd file that is also open in AD.

Hi evtonic,

 

Try expanding the layer and checking for the padlock icon opposite the object, if so click the icon to unlock or right click and you should notice Lock has a tick.
