Timothy Butler Posted December 5, 2022 Posted December 5, 2022 I'm thinking about buying the Universal License for v2, but the annoying bug in Affinity that causes it to lag horrifically on an Apple MacBook Pro with M1 Pro or Max with auto brightness turned on has me hesitating. While I ritually go and turn it off whenever I want to use Affinity, it's annoying that Affinity products can't deal with that (nice) feature of the laptop while other tools, such as Pixelmator Pro have no issue with it. I've actually started using Pixelmator Pro over Affinity whenever I can because of that. But, I'd like to return to Affinity Photo as my primary image editor, so has v2 fixed this? Is there a roadmap for when it will be fixed if not? I'd love to jump while the Universal License is 40% off, but don't want to do it if the same v1 bug is going to remain there indefinitely. Thanks for any thoughts anyone has! Quote
Timothy Butler Posted December 28, 2022 Author Posted December 28, 2022 *poke* Anything on this? My finger keeps hovering over "purchase," but I can't quite bear to make the jump if such a significant bug hasn't been fixed... (even if it is a macOS bug, it seems like all other apps cope with it just fine) Quote
