Designer Crashes when searching for fonts in font list

Hey!
I bought the designer as a Replacement for Photoshop a couple of weeks ago.
Every time I search for a font in the Affinity Designer, the Application Crashes. I have not used the application for a long time, but expected some fix will happen along the road. Now I saw that Version 2 is released, and you are not providing updates for V1 anymore. I tried to attach a gif to this post but I got a 200 Error and now a video of another user is attached to my post. Something with the Forum is broken.....

Hi and welcome to the forum. There is a known issue with v1 for Windows where recent Microsoft updates broke the Affinity suite and many other applications that rely on the same features of Windows. The workaround is to uninstall these updates for now. Please check if you have any of these updates installed.

UPDATE for anyone still using V1 Affinity applications - 

Versions 1.10.6 of the Affinity suite have been released, which resolve these .NET Windows crashes.

With the Affinity updates installed, you can now un-hide any previous Windows updates you have paused and install these without concern.
