jackamus
Just lately when I try to drag a guide from either top or left I get a rectangular blue envelope with a small black size box shown. When I release the mouse button the envelope disappears but the black size box remains. I may try several times before I do get a guide. Is this a bug? Staff DWright Posted January 27, 2016 Staff Share Posted January 27, 2016 Hi jackamus, If you select the Move tool and then drag the guide do you have the same blue rectangle area showing.
jackamus
Sorry I should have said that I was using the Move tool. Isn't the move tool the only way to drag guides? Staff DWright Posted January 27, 2016 Staff Share Posted January 27, 2016 Can you please send me a screenshot or screen recording of this as I have been unable to replicate this.
jackamus
One screen shot shows the blue envelope with the black size box and the other screen shot shows the black box left behind after releasing the mouse button. Staff DWright Posted January 27, 2016 Staff Share Posted January 27, 2016 Thanks for the screenshot. The blue box is a selection area for the move tool that appears if the mouse was not on the ruler when the mouse button was clicked, the size box being left on the screen this could be a refresh delay if you zoom in and out does the box disappear. jackamus
The blue box ONLY appears when click the Move tool on the rule. The black box does not disappear if I zoom - it only disappears if I am able to successfully drag a guide. It doesn't happen all the time - only most of the time. Does it help that I have had AD open for a few days without closing down? I will close down AD and I expect the problem to go away. However before I do is there anything else you would like me to try? Quote If voting made any difference it wouldn't be allowed! Rules are for the guidance of wise men and the obedience of fools. Staff DWright Posted January 27, 2016 Staff Share Posted January 27, 2016 I would restart you Mac. I have been able to replicate this occasionally and this has been logged with our developers.
