Dutch dictionary

Recommended Posts

Can someone help me with installing the Dutch dictionary. I tried to follow some other topics but no idea how to download and install the files.

For example, if I right click the RAW button there is no way to download it. I only get links to open in a new window

Really strange that affinity is not providing the files for download and a proper tutorial on how to install it!

Thanks for helping me out!

This what i have now in the folder nl_NL

There is said for Windows:
"....you will need to create a subfolder with its name in the format of xx_XX ( substituting xx_XX for the locale id ). "

and for Mac:
"Navigate to ~/Library/Spelling/ as above and create a subfolder with a name in the format of xx-XX ( substituting xx-XX for the locale id )."

Funny thing, both variants (dash and underscore) work on Windows for me.

Unfortunately I cannot reproduce your problem.

Do you see the Dutch dictionary at Language? Is it then possible to assign the language to the paragraph?

Hello,

Download the libreoffice dictionary

in windows 11 - co to c drive, Program Data, Affinity, Common, 2.0, Dictionaries - place your folder (name it nl-NL) containing "hyph_nl_NL.dic" and "nl_NL.dic".

In windows 11 ga je naar de C drive, Program Data, Affinity, Common, 2.0, Dictionaries. Maak een map aan en noem deze "nl-NL". Plaats in deze map bestandjes "hyph_nl_NL.dic" en "nl_NL.dic". (ik heb deze destijds op de libreoffce website gevonden of op github en ze sindsdien bewaard).

Succes.
