000
Does anyone know if and how it's possible to import a text file into the Index panel (I've got a list of appx. 200 topics and don't want to add them manually if at all possible)? walt.farrell
It's not possible. MikeTO
Why would you want to do this? You'd still need to insert at least one index marker for each topic and isn't it just as easy to type the topic name then? Someday when scripting is available it would be really easy to write a script to do what you want. MikeTO
I understand now. Yes, this would be a good feature for that use case. InDesign has this feature. If Publisher doesn't have this feature by the time scripting is added to Affinity, and assuming there's a script method to create index topics, I'll write a script to do this and share it online. 000 1 Quote Download a free manual for Publisher 2.4 from this forum - expanded 300-page PDF My system: Affinity 2.4.2 for macOS Sonoma 14.4.1, MacBook Pro 14" (M1 Pro)

I always used a plugin called "IndexMatic" in InDesign because the on-board-function was a bit limited.
