Grazuncle
I recently purchased the Affinity 2 combo and after confirming they opened up ok, proceeded to uninstall Affinity Designer and Photo versions 1 Designer 1 uninstalled ok but Photo came up with an error.. can't find Affinity Photo.msi.. (the uninstaller file I presume?) I did a search for it but not found. There is a big chunk of storage still being used and i want to remove it without jeopardising the new installation. Any ideas please?
Grazuncle
i just thought I could re-install Photo 1 and then uninstall it.. but still not it will interfere with my new Vs two suite?
carl123
V1 and V2 are 2 separate apps Removing / (Re)Installing one should not affect the other Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. Grazuncle
I expected that but wasn't sure.. tried it anyway and the setup failed with message: I may have to remove just the files manually if I ca keep away from the Vs 2 installation files. need more information.. walt.farrell
That generally means that at some time you ran a non-Microsoft cleanup tool, and it deleted some files (like that .msi) that were really still needed. You can try the Microsoft Uninstall Troubleshooter: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-removed-cca7d1b6-65a9-3d98-426b-e9f927e1eb4d Grazuncle 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. Grazuncle
Thanks for the information Walt. I wasn't aware of any clean up tools available.. I only use install and uninstall options. I'll look at your link anyway. Appreciate your time.
