brandonchang89 Posted November 17, 2022 Posted November 17, 2022 Hi folks, not sure if I'm the only one here struggling with photos taken with this lens. Affinity Photo, both version 1 and 2 don't have the profile for this lens, making post processing of photos taken with the lens very, very hard. Granted it's a relatively new lens, but macOS, Pixelmator Pro and Photoshop Elements 2022 all have lens profile for this lens (Photoshop Elements is not correcting vignetting but distortion is more critical anyways). I know you can import profiles from the lensfun project but that project doesn't have the profile for this lens. Also the latest release of lensfun dates back to Feb. The project looks dead. Any help would be highly appreciated, something like getting a profile from elsewhere can get it converted to lensfun format so that Affinity Photo can understand. Thanks! Quote
firstdefence Posted November 17, 2022 Posted November 17, 2022 You'd think the lens manufacturer would produce a lens profile to go with the release of the lens for all photo editing software so it can simply be imported or downloaded, I know a few of my apps will actually do this if the profile doesn't exist in the local space. This is from DXO Photolab 5... The profiles or as DXO call them, modules, are stored as .caf files and I assume these are proprietary files for DXO software and not capable of conversion. JayR Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 I haver the same issue. As it is an ultrawide lens it is subject to distortion and not easy to correct in processing. Quote
